6426 project watch ???

Hi all!! Picked up my first Rolex amd am an amatuer watchmaker in training.
Watch has had water intrusion at some point. Dial was trashed, stem rusted, threads on case tube non-existent,,,- As i said, a project.
Questions... I did a redial on it.... What is the proper procedure to set the second hand????? I had to re-set the searing depth several times before i got it right. The second hand sweep pinion kinda "floats" (1225 mvmnt)....
Also it appears (i havemt removed remains of seal yet) that the case tube may be of the "broached variety". What is the correct way tp rempve the broached tube??

Although she's had a somewhat rough life; i intend to fix her up amd add her to the fold, Keeps perfect time!! Also is my birth watch amd I got a hell of a deal!! Everything seems to b authentic. I picked it up along with an Omega Speedy' etc. etc... from a retired watchmaker/jewler....
