Photographers, is this shot real?

This is on the Drudgereport. For some reason this shot intrigues me. Is it real?

It's all about perspective. I think it's probably real, the person is just quite far away. It's like all of those photos of people "leaning" on the Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc.

Looks real enough. Now, try this.

The WH image is about 1.25" on the bill [part of the WH is behind hedges].
The actual WH is about 70' tall.

How far away is the subject?

Let's see here..... Subtract 7, carry the 2..... I am coming up with 'Wednesday'. Is that the right answer?

Assuming your two givens are correct, and adding in a third of a distance of 2 feet between bill and eye, the observer is 1,346 feet away.

You need to know this distance between the lens and the $20.

EDIT. Opps. Looks like Flaxmoore beat me to that point.

I will guess fake because why hold it with the thumb at the backside?

It can be real but why not then make sure that trees fit better?

Jocke

BTW. When I edit this pic my PhotoShop screaming at me it's not possible to print a greenie.

It's real. The government takes about half of what we make.
