Which Rolex or Tudor is the most legible?
Apologies if this has been discussed before. I searched for this topic and didn't see anything recently.
Which Rolex or Tudor model do you think is most legible during a quick glance at the wrist based on your own experience? Of all the models i've tried on, for me it is the Pelagos with the black dial. Disclaimer, i've never tried on an EXP1 or a Polar EXP2. |

Will if any watch watch was not legible to read the time not much point in selling them. Myself 79 years old and wear bifocal glasses and not found any watch that I could not read the time even some of my 30mm vintage ones.

Polar ExpII or non-LHD Pelagos, based on my experience.

For example, I found the legibility of the pelagos to be far superior to the Tudor BB GMT, EXP2 black dial, DJ Wimbledon, Yachtmaster and the white dial OP, and my desire to acquire any of those diminished as soon as I tried them on. |

I personally think the less writing and fewer complications there are on the dial, the easier they are to read.
Probably a 2 line Sub |

I vote Omega Speedmaster, as the textbook lesson in contrast.
But within Rolex, probably a datejust or OP with a black dial. Explorer is close but too much extra text on the dial to clutter it. Same for the sub. |

Fair and reasonable question to ask. Some watches are much easier to read than others.
I find most Tudors extremely easy to read. Thicker hands and the snowflake on the hour hand really helps. They use a lot of lume as well. My BB GMT is a very easy to read, even with a fourth hand |

Brian, after looking at pictures i see what you mean. The balance of 2 lines above and 2 lines below on the older no-dates just makes for a cleaner looking and to me more visually appealing sub.

I truly wish Rolex would take the "superlative chronometer officially certified" blurb and move it to the case back, they could use some decoration back there. To those of us in the know ... they could drop it entirely EDIT: I should add that’s a fantastic reference you have there Jake Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

Which Seamaster do you have. My biggest gripe with my 300M was how difficult I found the skeleton hands to read at night. That's probably the biggest reason I didn't hold onto it. Great watch otherwise though. |

I don't own one but to me the 58 looks super legible. Nice big markers and hands. Simple design.

Yes! You beat me to it, I was going to write that I find my old 5-digit "2-liner" Sub extremely legible, for the reasons you mention and also the stark contrast between the hands and black dial! It's what I so love about it!
