say hello you 166000

Hello, I introduce myself, me and my SD

we are going to consider an approach to an already established group,

since in other forums I have also been a beginner and later an expert, I know the usual prudence with which older members receive neophytes

I beg a pinch of indulgence and consideration

although I have some other watches, I am a deep unfamiliar with the brand, so I am necessarily going to make a lot of mistakes,

I know that normally when one arrives new at a house he must present himself with an offering, the Romans used to offer salt, oil, or wine.

in my case I present myself with a walker, an inhabitant of the oceans, a 16600, from the year 1995

----ok i can not post a link to the photo ----until i have 10 posts in my count,....:(

I admit that I am not an expert in this model, but I have been captivated by its design, elegance, robustness, ...

also, once in possession of it, I like the careful workmanship, and how it fits on my wrist without fanfare, and with an elegant appearance.

I have bought it from a professional seller of which I will give more information later, because at the moment I am very happy with the purchase

If you allow me, I will ask some questions later to learn more about the model.

regards.

Welcome to the forum! Enjoy it!

It‘s 16600 or 116600… there is no 166000. No offence, just saying.

Huge congrats, it looks to be in fantastic condition for a 25 yr-old watch! I absolutely love the 16600; I have a D-serial that I purchased new from an AD in 2005. It's a handsome, rugged, 'under-the-radar' watch. It's also an un-sung, under-recognized 'super hero', but it gets tons of praise here on TRF and on other forums. Great find; enjoy it thoroughly!

Bought a K serial 16600 last week. Absolutely love it. Congrats on yours, too.

Good choice with the 16600. To me one of the most relevant (and underrated) Rolex models. Great taste in the other brands (and automobile). I very much can relate to those.
