If I go and get a haircut

and I pay $20.00 for it and she also is the one that washes my hair, how much should I tip if she does a good job? What is proper haircut tip etiquette?

I tip $2-3 bucks at the barber shop for a $10 haircut. No wash job either.

IMO, the one girl who cuts my hair at the shop does a great job

I get charged $19 for haircut/beard trim, and I usually give her $25. She does a good job!

Justin, we're not all as pretty as you are, if I was, I'd be spending $45 on a haircut too!

You see, I give her 50% and everyone thinks I'm nuts but that was just the way I was brought up.
I went to a bar the other night with my buddy and the tab came to about $100 and he left a $40 tip but you should see the way he is treated there. Its worth it sometimes I believe.

I always overtip (and no, I am not a rich man).

However, I REALLY overtip breakfast waitresses and hairstylists.

I tip 30%. I follow the train of thought that if I were doing that job, I would really appreciate it!

My haircuts are around $22 and I always tip $10 on top of that. Same person everytime and I don't have to re-explain how to cut my hair each time. Is it worth it? Totes.

I don't know why I pay for a hair cut. She uses a #2 on the razor, 4 minutes later, I am done.
Cost $10
Tip $5
Occassionally I tip the cashier $5.

Oh yeah, I remember why I pay to get my hair cut. "she" is the key word above

It's about $15+ for the cut and I just give her $20.00 and let her keep the change.
I always have her rinse the little cut hairs off my head before I leave.
