Unexpected arrival!
What a day! Bought some jewelry as a anniversary gift a year ago which led to me buying my first rolex in late spring…datejust 41. I love the watch and wore it almost daily. A few months ago I popped in to say hi and bought a Tudor BB58 and mentioned that I was interested in a a gmt master 2 or Sub and asked if they could keep me in mind. Super friendly SA but got the standard “very hard to come by and lots of people want those watches” but would keep me in mind. I didn’t have much hope as I was new client and had very little spend history. Fast forward to this week when I stopped in to get a small retirement gift for a family member. Chatted it up the SA and as we were wrapping things up he asks me what watches I’m trying to get in the new year. I said if I could buy anything it would be a gmt master 2 or a sub. He told me that he would make sure I get a gmt in 2022 which to me was awesome to hear and I’m on cloud 9. He leaves to go gift wrap my present and when he comes back he says “We need to do one more thing” and takes me into an office and pulls out a Submariner and ask if I’d like their first rolex of 2022! It being a total surprise made it even better!
