Milgauss Incoming! 13 Years in the making

First saw the Milgauss back in a magazine ad in 2009 when I was a senior in high school (I will save you the math, Im 30). The green crystal immediately caught my eye and never left my mind. I wasn't even into watches at the time. Put off buying it when I did get into watches and kept buying more popular watches, like your Speedmasters, Submariners, etc...

Anywho, after getting super lucky and getting an OP39 White August 25th, 2020 (5 days before they were discontinued), I was able to trade it in for almost double what I paid and finally got my dream watch, 13 years later (thanks Takuya!).

No more talk, picture time.

Bonus picture - This is my "Visiting downtown LA" set up

Great watch. Congratulations. An OP on steroids. There's nothing quite like a Milgauss and when the current generation is discontinued/replaced, there probably won't be anything quite like it again.

Congratulations Kevin, it’s a great reference

I remember seeing my first one in the wild, years ago. I was staying at Ellicottville, in NY and we were at one of the ski chalets having a drink apres ski. This fellow sat down across the couches from me, and his GV Milgauss slipped out from under his cuff. I remember thinking how it had such great wrist presence.

Enjoy it in good health

I love stories like this T-Bone! There's something about seeing a watch in the wild that really sticks with you.

Better late than never. Well played on the trade. Almost bought the GV a few times myself but have yet to do it. Maybe one day.

Congrats.

Congrats and thanks for the truly fantastic pics! I picked one up in 2013. I initially struggled with which version to get, but in the end I went with the matte dial/green crystal. It's a cool watch with a unique look. Enjoy your new Milgauss!
