Looking to add a “last” Rolex to my collection
Up for trade consideration are exp 1 39, 16610 and 14060m
I’d like to potentially package those to add to my collection which is otherwise Exp 2 black New one SkyD blue oyster Pepsi jubilee Cermit Batman oyster 124060 Red op 41 YM 40 chocolate dial 116613 LB Smurf I realize I’ve got nothing white but not sure how much I care. I could also keep the 5 digits. Really on the fence. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I never understand these threads. Why can’t the person just make up their own mind?

I’d end it with a DD40 if it were me.

I’d consolidate some pieces up to a DD40 platinum

I would only suggest a watch if you promised to buy it and showed me photographic proof .

1. Add Daytona Ceramic with white dial.
2. Keep all the others. 3. Initiate the search for another "exit piece" in about 3 to 6 months. 4. Finalize selection and execute acquisition process for the next exit watch. 5. Repeat steps 2 through 5.

I won't add anything to your collection. It is perfect and nothing is better than perfect.

Platinum Daytona! That's what's missing, the Exit Watch.
I ordered one today, so when it finally arrives in 1, 2, 3, 4 ..... years, I'll be done with this hobby. ;) Or maybe not.

Something non-Rolex? How about a dress watch to add some variety?

I know two things I want. To make one more move. And to move on from Rolex after. The rest I’m just starting my process. So seeking opinions, which are really what other people would do but that’s perfectly fine for me. What would you do? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What I want next is the latest DSSD and my wild card is the Root Beer even though I don’t own or wear any version of yellow gold, it’s that striking. And I’d keep the 14060m. |

Thanks, appreciate it! Deep sea has been on my radar too. That, datejust white, explorer 2 polar, some version of a SS or PM Daytona and maybe a white dial DD all being entertained. I’m also thinking maybe wait and see what comes out. It’s a lot to narrow down but im getting closer to having zero collection moves because I love everything I got. Or so I tell myself.

I would just move on now. Don’t see the point in adding just one more at this stage.

Some people need peer approval and their collection is as much for the benefit of others as it is for them. I am not a fan of this style of compulsive collecting when the collector doesn't even seem to know why they are doing it.

I feel like a day-date would work well, or maybe a Daytona on OF?

I wouldnt drop the 14060M and 16610.Keep them .
Rather just buy what you want outright, considering the money involved in the current collection .A Daytona needs to be added.. What do you wear the most ? |

Why would you not get the ultimate Rolex, the day date? Epitome of luxury on the wrist.

I would certainly keep the 16610 and 14060.....to my mind they are the two most interesting watches in your collection. Looking at the rest of your collection I would suggest you follow the advice of many previous posters and opt for a Daytona - should fit in nicely.
