2021 Rolex Daytona Meteorite Dial (Has Anyone See One?)

Hi Watch People!

I have been looking for a 2021 Rolex Daytona in white gold on Oysterflex with Meteorite dial but can not seem to find it any where.

Has anyone been able to get one at an AD?

This particular piece seems to be a ghost even on the grey market. No one has it.

Thoughts???

Thanks,
TeslaMan

I was able to try on both this model and the full rose gold model some time ago (no movement).

Very beautiful I have a soft spot for the meteorite dial.

Very low numbers released and (I'm not going to say in all countries as this is apparently not true in USA and some other countries) Rolex central office tightly controlling who gets them - from a individual perspective, not just for the AD to choose!! A bit like Rainbow daytonas.

I have had the oyster flex white gold meteorite dial on my wrist. It was an exhibition piece and it was stunning. Fell for the watch instantly, probably the best watch I have seen by a country mile.

I tried on a few exhibition models and ordered the full RG. No word yet.

There’s been a few posted here that people have had delivered, maybe 3 from what I recall.

Spoke to the GM of a very large, well-known boutique in a major US city, and was told they have not received any since it launched. Found that interesting.

Still supply chain issues with the Swiss watch elves that went up into space to collect the raw material. I mean if anyone has seen don't look up, gives you a pretty good idea of how complicated mining can be in space!

Also yes. There are other similar threads on this. Although I have OF, not the full amazing bracelet like others…

They seem to be very rare, I have not seen one. I would guess relative to other watches, they have not shipped many.

Wow I’m surprised she’s allowed to wear that.

How exactly does this process work? Clearly, you are likely to need to be the ADs most important client.

But even then, what would motivate Rolex to send one to the AD, for you. Normally that processes is so disconnected. How does allocation work for such pieces? What does Rolex want to know?

They'll want to know your purchase history I'd expect.
How long you've been a customer , what models you've had and if you're local to that dealer

Full purchase history, occupation and other information the AD chooses to give them. Probably enough for Rolex to do a quick check and establish you're not a phantom or simply the ADs best mate I'd imagine. Listening to "Talking watches", it seems pretty apparent that if you're pretty wealthy, you don't ever sell your special watches, just keep on collecting and that's who Rolex AU want the watches to go to - not anyone who is likely to flip. I've seen "special" Rolex watches delivered to an AD for a particular VIP client. AD never ordered it - client obviously well known by Rolex Central office and AD simply sent the watch to fit and hand over locally (probably a bit like Keanu Reeves getting his 6 Subs for his crew).
