124060 here! And a slight panic

About a week ago I posted that my new submariner was here and the background behind it. Quick recap.. I went to a number of AD’s looking for my dream watch the ND Sub. Obviously I was politely rebuffed by a number of them. I finally found a boutique dealer who listened to my story and stated be patient…I can’t tell you when but I will get you that watch.
That was four months ago. My plan all along was to have another watch to complement the submariner but maybe a little dressier ie leather band, etc. Feeling a little dejected I went out and bought a beautiful Aqua Terra. I really had no hopes of getting the Sub and I thought this was a beautiful daily wear watch that I could still wear with a suit and tie.
So a week ago out of the blue I get the call that the Sub was in. Uh…huh? What the hell am I going to do with the AT? Unfortunately the AD was ill and asked if would I be patient to wait until today. I figured that was the least I could do even though he made provisions for another associate to sell and fit the watch for me.
Here it is. I realized that I inadvertently matched the Sub perfectly. They are two totally different watches. So although the AT was not the watch I would’ve paired had I got the Sub first… I think it worked out wonderfully

Thinking of matching my 41mm sub with the AT (not owned yet). While I like the sub, I suspect the AT is a smoother more comfortable ride (no serrated bezel to contend with).

The AT is an absolute gorgeous watch. The steel is much more highly polished than the sub. But again that’s by design two totally different watches. I love the high polish in certain circumstances and the brush polish of the sub in others. But honestly I think the Rolex is more comfortable with the micro adjust on the band. I find myself fiddling occasionally with the AT to get better comfort.

Both are super nice. The Omega will look great on a leather strap. Enjoy!

My 124060 is paired with an AT, too. Great combo.

Put your AT on a leather strap if that helps differentiate the two. That will definitely make it a bit more dressy.

Congrats on both!

I have the same combo - well, a very similar one. The Sub pairs with the AT just fine, so I say wear both in good health and enjoy.

Looking good. :)

You’re gonna need a gold or a two tone next to match that wedding ring.

Can't go wrong with the AT. I just got mine on blue alligator in November 2021 and love it. Also, it has a great and very accurate movement. +2 consistently, can't complain and happy it. Keep both, you won't regret it. Congrats.

Grab the rubber OEM strap from Omega and that will differentiate them a little more. But those are two terrific watches that can totally coexist. Congrats!

Sell the AT. The Submariner is the best. Since acquiring Rolex my Breitlings, Omegas and Tudors gather dust.

Great pair in my opinion. That AT is a strap monster, honestly. You should put it on leather. It'll increase comfort and will differentiate it from the Rolex a little more. You can dress it up that way as well - think black or brown croco.

A strap monster. I never heard that. Going to look at a black leather strap.. Agree will make it a total different watch. It will be nice to change out occasionally
