Would you do this trade?

Hi all,

I know it’s down to personal taste, but from a value point of view, would you trade a YG DD40 champagne dial 2019 full set plus £3k for a 2020 full set white gold BLRO?

Thanks in advance!

For my personal taste gold is yellow.

I’d keep the DD.

2 different watches, are you looking to carry a more subtile watch? go for the DD. If you want a more sportier look? go for the GMT. Personally, you can never go wrong with DD, it is amazing especially on yellow gold. Works just as fine with a black t-shirt and jeans as with a suit.

Fair trade I say maybe a little in your favour.

Just comes down to which you like the most.

For one watch, YG for me.

But I would be equally happy with the WG Pepsi at this point.

I would aim to own both if I liked them both. Personally I would own the GMT Master if I could justify it but I wouldn't own a YG DD. I've never tried on a DD (it could prove too expensive) but I can't conceive of a DD not wearing comfortably compared to a PM GMT Master. We're all different. Do what your gut tells you will make you happy.

IMHO I say yes definitely because I am waiting for the WG BLRO so I am biased.

Subtle is not quite how I would describe a YG DD.

OP, value wise it’s a good trade. I would do that.

Personal preference. What you plan to wear them for etc. I personally prefer the Pepsi as I think it's a more versatile and useful piece if you were only going to have one watch to wear. Value wise it's kind of a toss up I guess ....just go on Chrono24 and compare what they are asking. Hard to say what the future trends will be but Pepsi is pretty hot right now.

It’s not a bad trade but why not keep the DD and get a SS BLRO?

Would depend…..is it a one and only watch, or part of a collection?
If I personally were to make the trade…value wouldn’t be a consideration, only which one I’d enjoy more would matter.
Value wise though…One question….is it blue dial or meteorite dial BLRO? Huge value difference on the secondary market

Depends. There are two white gold BLRO. One with a blue dial and one with the meteorite, correct me if I’m wrong. If the trade would be for the meteorite then absolutely.

The WG pepsi is very cool. You will get more respect from enthusiasts with the WG GMT.

The champ DD is a grandpa watch and super loud.

WG Pepsi all day every day!

Like both models, but would prefer a DD in RG.

I prefer the DD for a PM piece and professional references in SS.

Why not save for a SS BLRO?
