Icon20 Rolex Side Stickers with Red Stripe

Hi Guys,

I’m looking at purchasing a Rolex Daytona and I found this one that I like.

Out of curiosity what to the side stickers with red stripes on the case of the Rolex mean?

Does it mean the Rolex has been recently serviced? Or that it is unworn brand new?

Thank you for your help in advance I really appreciate it!

Many thanks,
Al

I think the stickers indicate the watch went for service and was possibly polished (but don't quote me on that).

Brand new unworn watches come with stickers with no stripes on them.

It's been serviced. I've seen RSC serviced watches for sale with these stripes. The seller will be able to confirm.

It is, those stickers are from a RSC service.

Had the same ones on my 126655 before the RSC replaced my case.

I have only ever seen red on a case back sticker. When my Daytona was purchased new, the sticker edge was green as is normal on any new Rolex watch. When it was serviced and polished, the RSC placed another sticker on the case back that had a red edge on it instead of green. I have never seen these red stripes on any of the other stickers, however.

My latest purchase had these on when I got it, and the watch was fresh off RSC

Exactly that and these stickers now command very high prices on the recycle plastic black market.

It means the watch tastes like mint if you lick it.

Which are more valuable, the red striped ones or the blue striped ones?

I learned something new today.

Admittedly I’ve never had a Rolex polished, but it wouldn’t have thought they’d put stickers back on the case afterward

Interesting. I didn't know.

I've had my Panerai polished and it just came back in a lovely suede pouch. But definitely no stickers.

Well Brian just when they are polished in watch production no reason other than protection of case after polishing, same would apply after polishing at normal RSC routine service.

Multiple Rolex watches serviced/polished at RSC in the US and I have never seen any stickers on my watches upon return. Learn something new everyday.

It isnt just an RSC that uses these stickers. I have seen independent service centers use these stickers too. There are blue stripes as well

Never seen those before, however it appears as if others are confident they're from service. I suppose it makes sense to delineate from a new piece.
