Link ratio on Sub C for 7 inch wrist?

Anyone wear a 114060 or 116610 on a 7 inch wrist?

Can’t get the proper link ratio. Just re acquired a 114060, setting it up like the last one I had is way too big? Not sure why, prob cuz I lost a bit of weight

Currently 5 at 6:00 and 5 at 7:00 but seems a bit short at the 12 side

When I switch to 4 at 6:00 it’s way too short and the clasp is very visible at the side of my wrist

Looking to see what works for all the other 7 inch wrists!

Thanks!

Dre, love your ink.

I have a 6.875" flat wrist. My 116610LN is set up as follows:

12 o'clock has 5.5 links
6 o'clock has 4 links
I wear with 3 notch lines visible on the glidelock, allowing me flexibility to go up or down a notch.

Hope this helps.

Link ratio on Sub C for 7 inch wrist?

I'd try 5/6 and slide glide lock in. Or 5/5.5.

The process I use is to first adjust the 6 o'clock links to center the clasp. Sounds like 5 for you. Then adjust 12 o'clock links to adjust tightness.

I would try to keep the two sides fairly equal on the sub. When you look at the buckle on your wrist it's normal for it to seem a tad closer to the 12 o'clock side visually.

My guess is you need a sea dweller half link.

I've got 6 links at 12:00 and 4 links at 6:00, 7.2in wrist. Micro-adjustment takes care of wrist expansion and contraction.

5 each side, 3rd notch in the winter, 4/5th in the summer, 1st when in the water

126600 SD half link wont fit - its wider than the sub bracelet.

Dre, you probably need a half link from a 97200 bracelet for the 6 o'clock side (I'm guessing its only the Sub date that comes with a half link?)

Part number is 32-21029 I think

My sub has a half link!

I’ve tried it on the 6:00 side. Fit was nice but looked a bit odd aesthetically

Dre

“Fit was nice”.

That’s the point of the half link. You’ve already answered your own question.

Bracelet fit is all about the 6 o’clock side. Placing the watch head where you want it and adjusting the 6 o’clock side until the clasp sits where required.

All the 12 o’clock side does is adjust the tightness. Nothing more.

If you are looking to get a good fit based on aesthetics alone you are likely to be disappointed.

The 116600 sea dweller came with a half link too, for some reason the 116610 and 114060 did not but it fits.

OP, try the half link again. I also set my fit with the glide lock adjusted all the way in that I have full adjustment out but I also dive with my SD4k.

I can confirm the 114060 most definitely came with a half link, as I purchased mine new at AD, who initially placed it on the 6 o’clock side (incorrectly IMHO) which kicked the clasp way off center.

Andre- I’ve got an exactly 7” wrist, more flat than round. I feel your frustration- mine took many tries to get just right.

Try this:

4 links on 6 o’clock side
5.5 links on 12 o’clock side
Glidelock showing three “ticks”

Good luck!

Most of the time you'll want more links on the 12 o'clock side than the 6 o'clock side.

When you had 4 links on the 6 o'clock side, did you move the 5th link to the 12 o'clock side? Because the overall number of links would've have been the same (10) and I'm not understanding how the bracelet could be too short?

You might want to experiment with the half link see what results in the best fit. Sounds like 4 1/2 on the six, and 5 on the 12 might be a good starting place...and work from there. Good luck,

Good point - I was forgetting about the 116600.

The OP's issue appears not to be fit, but aesthetics

I had a real hard time sizing my 114060. My wrist are closer to the 6.5 inch side and I ended up with 3.5 links on the 6 o’clock side and 5 on the 12. Then the glidelock is all the way in to one notch available. It sits pretty close to center on the underside. With my 12 series sub it fits wayyyyy better and more centered on that configuration. The 11 I end up adjusting a notch out as soon as it gets over 70 degrees and when the temp drops it’s too loose. There’s no happy place that I can leave it. The 12 however hasn’t been adjusted once since walking out the AD.

I'm wearing 4 and 4.5 links on mine, snug fit.

4.5 on the 6 side and 5.5 on the 12 side is the perfect combo for my slightly over 7in wrist

4.5 on the 6 o’clock side and 6.5 on the 12 o’clock side for my 7.5in wrist. Glidelock showing 2 adjustment points to tighten bracelet.
