Incoming - 1 Grail Down, 1 more to go….

In this wild market with inflated Rolex prices, couldn’t help but take advantage and traded up a couple pieces to something I’ve been dreaming about that was always slightly out of reach.

Was a tough choice between this Grand Lange and a Patek 5205 but ultimately I chose what sung to me more.

1 grail down, 1 more to go hopefully by 2023.

Congratulations my friend, and with exquisite taste too. My RG Zeitzone has really snuck it’s way into becoming my daily companion, so I’d imagine that GL1 MP will do just the same for you.

For what it’s worth, I have a 5205g coming in in early April as my first Patek. So I wholeheartedly concur with your choices.

Smart move, in my opinion at least. I’ve done some similar trade ups myself to get to some serious Lange horology.

Very nice, congrats! I did the same thing in 2020 to get a Lange 1.

5205 is also a dream of mine as well.

Many thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement. I enjoyed reading all of the ALS educational threads, PMs from the vets, which ultimately lead me to the Grand Lange 1.

5205 is still in the running for 2023, along with the RG PM VC Overseas. Also am liking the Breguet Tradition alot, but will be open to letting the horology trade winds lead me on my next adventure.

Congrats, i just traded a hype Rolex into a Lange 1 as well however went without the moonphase. As much as the watch market sucks, there are many great moves to be made if you open your eyes and trade up the hype pieces.

Many thanks and agreed! The past year I turned 4 semi/hype pieces in my collection effectively into a ALS GL1, VC Overseas, and AP Code.

I went against the grain of the never trade a Rolex for something else sentiment into rounding out what I thought is a more balanced collection.
