Just curious about the fair price for a pre-owned 214270

full set, bought in 2010, scratches and 4 dings on the lugs. What would be a fair price?

Mark 1 dial-8700-9350, mark 2 dial 9500-10750 would be a good guess

If it’s a 2010 model that would make it a Mark I dial with the white gold 3,6,9 (no lume). JMGoodnoght369 is right on the money. One thing to consider: fair price has nuance. Quite common for a trusted seller business (moving lots of watches maybe even have a stand alone shop) to charge more than a trusted seller independent.

Insane pricing but I suppose that’s what happens with a discontinued product.

For me, the 39mm was trying to be something it wasn’t - straddling the GADA watch and professional series “legibility first” piece. Too much dial real estate and not that easy to read. I owned it new (MK1) and sold it for a 15 year old 36mm. No regrets, not even with the 124 release.

I completely agree with this. I actually made the mistake of trading up my 114270 for the 214270 mkii. It looks great in pictures but on wrist it’s too much dial. I love the matte dial though. I wish they would have used that on the new reference. Would’ve looked killer with the AR coating. Definitely regret not keeping the 114270

Ah, we agree to disagree, because I actually prefer the gloss dial. Love my 114270 though. If we weren’t on a Rolex enthusiast forum it could be the ideal one watch collection.

Bought mine for $10300 in May. It's 2019 with card and box. I had always wanted that specific one and it was discontinued in April so I knew it was now or never. I adore the proportion of the 39mm dial. I think it adds so much to the zen like feel of the matt black background and the text is much less crapped as is everything else.
