Tired of waiting for a Daytona
So I decided to go with the Speedmaster Hesalite. Love the classic style and comfortable improved bracelet.
I will still get the Daytona if and when it comes in at MSRP. But even if it does, this will always be part of my collection! |

Fantastic selection! Can't go wrong with a Speedy which has as much historical heritage in horology as a Daytona while being accessible. Enjoy!

Congratulations. A great watch. I have the 1861 and the new 3861 and they get the most wrist time of any of my watches. I also own both the Black and White dial SS Daytona-C's and prefer the Omega's on every level. Such is collecting.

Both can certainly exist in a collection...I've had my Speedy for a while now. My 116520 that I got at retail years ago, lasted maybe 6-7 months in the collection.

I've had both in the lineup. I must say: I don't miss the Daytona as much as I miss the Speedy. Both are great watches. But man I love the Speedmaster.

Great choice! The new bracelet is so good. Speedy became my vacation watch this year over my blue 300m diver on rubber.

Great choice. I know I'm in a minority, but I far prefer the Speedie to the Daytona. Just took mine skiing for a week.
