Which way?
Fielding out for some advice.
Yes, before anyone says it, I am planning a visit or two to London where majority of these boutiques/ AD's are located to physically get a feel of the watches. What's the score with Vacheron Overseas? For their fit. I have 7 inch wrists. Been leaning to these lately. Would love the new 37mm AP RO but for me, unless I go grey, tis a long shot. Aquanaut the same. The AD I normally deal with don't carry the brands I'm looking at. They do know I have my eyes on a few Rolexes and I'm pretty patient. Going for a classier/ flex-y/ higher end type of watch. One that is close to being a one watch. it will be worn, it may very likely get dings and bumps and I'm not gonna baby it. Having lil ones, some decent water resistance and legibility would be useful. Basically, the less I need to faff, the better. Vacheron Overseas Czapek white dial antartique Czapek Parmigiani Tonda PF Moser Mad red Moser flying hours JLC- a few from their master range Did consider Bulgari Octo Finnisimo, but the size and fit wasn't to my liking. Any other suggestions? |

If you want to flex the VCO is your best bet. The others aren’t really a flex (maybe their best quality).
God it’s hard to recommend anything these days as everyone is hamstrung by availability. Every man for himself!

The above, and no to the Bvlgari as it loves smaller wrists like mine, yet larger doesn't 'work' so agree with you there.

I love my VC Overseas. I daily it often. I got lucky and was able to snag one before things got crazy. Would recommend it 100% but it's probably as difficult to get as a Royal Oak or aquanaut.

VCO all day for me out of those choices. That's not to say the other pieces aren't great choices, but VCO is simply numero uno out of that lot.

I don’t think the VCO is at the same level of difficulty as a 16202 or 5167a yet but who knows in another few months. I was lucky last month and was offered a VCO 4500V in blue for delivery this year. So with some luck and patience, it is still doable.

I daily my VCOS on a 7.25" wrist. I find the rubber strap the most comfortable and save the stainless bracelet for weekends.

Vacheron Overseas and Parmigiani Tonda PF would be my front runners. Put the Czapek Antartique and the Octo in a close second. There there is the rest...

VCO out of your list. If you can get one, job done.
I was in the VC boutique recently in London-lovely people but no overseas to look at. The 56 complete calendar blue dial was gorgeous-not really a "one watch" though. Other potential options...: Glashutte Original Seventies Panorama Date (or chrono). Chopard Alpine Eagle large JLC Polaris Mariner. Good luck! |

I like quite a few VC dress pieces, but the 4500V is one large and bulky watch for a simple three-hand sports piece. Refined in many details, but not classy and refined as a whole on my wrist when I tried it on at the AD years ago. That was when I could have picked it up right there at MSRP (or possibly less).
Not sure if you prefer sports or dress, but I'd much rather have a VC Patrimony if dress, a Moser Streamliner if sports, or any entry-level Journe (both sports and CS, I know hard to get too). Personally, I'd also look at IWC and Glashütte but if you want flex those are probably out. |

One of your first 2. If you're used to Rolex sports watches the Vacheron is thinner at only 11 mm. My wrist is 7-1/8 to 7-1/4.

I do have my eyes on the FP Journe CS Havana and the Elegante, but lists into 2023 or 2024, long shot and there's only one AD for the UK. And my pockets aren't deep enough or silly enough to buy my way up the list. Yeah, a flex piece of some sort. Mainly for me and when at family gatherings. Just cos. |

It's quite a subtle flex to be fair, as Vacheron is still not that well known to the general joe public. And getting one from a boutique would be very tough
But definitely it can be a great daily watch with the strap change, although I wouldn't want to pay a premium on this watch |
