Deciding which watch to wear?
For those that have multiple watches, how do you decide which to wear on any given day? Are the watches on a rotation (for example, wear one watch all week, then switch watches for next week's watch, etc....) or do you try to match your watch to what you wear? Or match to what you'll be doing?
I wear business casual/full casual to my office job. Never dress up, and never attempt to color coordinate watches. Its always pretty random as to which I will wear, but it would be nice to develop a simple system or process for selecting a watch.... How about you guys with multiple watches? |

Whatever I fancy.
I don't think I've considered colour-coordinating my watch to anything! |

I just pick 2 for the week, try to be 1 strap and 1 bracelet. Conscious effort to pick 2 I haven't worn for a while, even if I want to wear my favs.
I dont match to my attire unless I'm going to a very formal event. |

It all depends on what I'm wearing, that's how I choose. I also enjoy winding and resetting a watch that's been sitting around. It's all part of the enjoyment for me.

i look at what i'm wearing, then think about what would be a nice complement. not always, but that's typically my approach. if i know i'm doing a particular sport or activity (or in the rare times i get "dressed up") that might factor in as well.

Mostly random with some preference. For example
- I wear my moon phase watch more around the periods of full moon - explorer to sleep because of the nice lume - no nato or leather strap watches when rain or water might be a factor - no complication watch if I'm in a hurry. I don't put them on winders. It takes less time to set. - longer power reserve watch gets worn more because it's less likely they've stopped when I need them. Otherwise random / whatever the mood stike. |

Mostly I rotate daily between my BLRO and Daytona. My Speedmaster comes out for Speedy Tuesday when I remember. When I ride my bike I usually switch to one of my three favorite Seikos, I also keep them wound up every morning. Sadly I have some other watches in my box that rarely see the light of day but they’re not expensive so I don’t want the hassle of selling.
PS: I am retired so picking watches for work appearances is no longer a thing. |

95% of the time it's my GMT II which I can swap bezel inserts on for different looks. The other 5% it's my Turn-O-Graph. Very rarely I'll wear one of the others for variety.

Outfit, where I’m going, activity and mood… that said, my sub gets a majority of the wrist time.

Pretty random rotation for me. I like to wear a watch for 2-3 days in a row but nothing set. I will wear my Sub whenever I’m doing anything that dictates the brushed bracelet and if I’m going out to dinner I may pick something PM but I like to keep low key so it depends on the company…

At one point, if I was wearing a blue outfit, I’d wear a blue dial watch to match it.
Now it’s pretty random. We’re also casual in the office, so I don’t have a burning need for a dress watch. I rotate between a Submariner, Speedmaster and a Seamaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I gave up trying to figure out what to wear each day. I put on what I see, then change multiple times per day, end up with watches scattered around the house.

Watch matches activity. Swimming or pool/beach is a diver. And so on.

Mainly wear one watch Monday thru Friday (keeping most of the wear and tear on one watch) then one I normally wear on the weekends, Then others depending on special events or occasions (Least worn)
