With no real information on your winding and wearing habits, I'll start with the first obvious possibility.
Perhaps the watch doesn't have enough wind? As just movement alone will not keep your watch running, without a full manual wind of the watch's movement.

Replace that old dinosaur mechanical with a Bulova Precisionist P103 movement never needs service and +/_ 10 seconds per YEAR! Seconds hand sweeps 16 beats/second twice as smooth as Rolex.

Frequently, when a movement stops at a certain angle, there is damage, either a broken jewel or a bent pivot, or the like.
No quick fix if that is the issue, and you need a watchmaker who can, and will, take the time to find that damaged part.

I don't have any information on the Bulova, but the 3035 movement is very reliable and robust.
