Is green watches just a trend or it is the new Classic ?
Green have never been a greatly desire watch color way until recent years and Price of high-end green watch pump like Rocket
Do you think Green watches trend (Mostly Come frome Rolex LV) is long-term and will be come classic ? Or it is just a trend and people will go back to classic watch like Blue - Black in the future? |

Green has been popular for a while now. With Rolex it’s a signature color so it will always be some green in the catalogue.

There aren't any green watches, only standard watches with some green cosmetics as an option. None of the green versions are as popular as their non-colorful brothers
Dark green is Rolex corporate color and always has been. It does seem that almost any color is more acceptable now days than it has been in years past. It used to be that your watch was not a colorful accessory, but a means to know the time. Wrist watches still have not been around as long as the pocket watch, invented in 1510, that they replaced a century ago.

Color trends will always change. Right now it is heavy on green and grey, it used to be blue.
That said, style and design are the things that become classic. Think about case design, dial and hand layouts, guilloche patterns or other special hand work/finishing, also useful complications. These are factors that build a new classic. |

Color preferences change. I foresee the OPs for example with those colorful dials to be seen as tacky in the coming decades. However right now they are fetching crazy prices. Remember the Hulk when it was introduced in 2010, nobody wanted it and went under retail.

Not too long ago some people wondered if blue watches were a trend. ;-) Anyway, keep it simple: wear what you like. |

Not a green watch fan but it is certainly the current fad. I like white or black dials on watches.

Green is nice but a trend IMO, and will never be a “classic” just for being green.

i like rolex's non black colors. If I want a black watch I rather spend less and go other brands. My Hamilton black watches get more compliments than my luxury black watches

Green is great, when it’s done well. I know “well” is subjective but I’m a fan of the previous olive OP and the current green on YG GMTs. Not a fan of the current green in the OPs. Maybe it’s the same as the GMTs, I just don’t like the (racing green?) look in SS.

I remember back in 1955 when the Pepsi bezel was introduced and people jumped onto the internet and came to the Rolex forum to complain about colorful bezels and that it will never be a classic and how dare Rolex do this. Now look at the history of the Pepsi and Coke, they’re timeless and historic and classic. People are generally, mostly always, usually wrong.

It doesn't matter to me what is vogue. I just buy what I like. I don't particularly like looking trendy because I don't want to look like everyone else. Sometimes it happens, but it always passes. Green watches are getting thicker on the ground. Most manufacturers have one (or more) in their range. Many of them don't look all that good to my eyes. Green doesn't suit everything. Rolex seem to have a knack for it. |

I always love green watches in pictures and the idea of them. The draw usually fades when I have them in my hands.

I personally feel its a big big fad. Some of the greens coming out are absolutely horrid as well.
Some iteration will always be around but will it be hyped to this extent forever? 100% it wont be. Green was one of the most hated colors in the watch game not so long ago. |

Colours shine and fade into history all the time, and can lead to a very dated looking watch.
Black and white are timeless across decades. (Anyone remember the green and orange fad of the 70's or the pink and grey fad of the 90's) |
