Incoming Tudor Pelagos FXD
Picked this up a few days ago after a 3-month wait at the AD. I almost waffled based on an initial inspection strictly based off the size, but man am I happy I didn't. Watch is incredible, extremely comfortable on the textile strap (perhaps the most comfortable watch I own), very rugged but also light, and I love the bigger wrist presence. It's my first titanium watch - didn't think I was a titanium guy but it has this very utilitarian look and feel.
Note I have a 6.25" inch wrist and can still pull this off at the upper limit (IMO). I have a bunch of SS Rolex but this feels so different and very tool-like. Highly recommend for folks considering, especially if you're looking for a more military-style but still modern tool watch. Specifically bought this for upcoming travel where I don't want to be seen with a Rolex. Btw, the OEM strap is a little long but they're ordering me a shorter one. |

Huge congrats. Looks great on your wrist. I'm really glad to see a no date pelagos...i always thought the pelagos was the underrated champion in the Tudor line up...such a great blend of classic Tudor and modern no frills. The perfect real tool watch. Darn...now I want one of these. 😂

Thanks everyone. It's been an exciting week. I'll do another more objective write-up as there are some unique things about the watch that make it special (e.g., lumed bezel as many of you noted) - need to get over the honeymoon first, but no rush.... Cheers.

Saw this in person. Much better impression than the photos. Pretty hard to come by when inquiring about this from the ADs.

I put myself on 2 dealers lists for the FXD. They both said they have seen 2-3 come in since its release and they have a few people waiting already. Looks great!

Yep it seems every dealer has received a small handful. Tudor is doing their typical thing - massive announcement, drip feed allocations in the first 6 months. I predict we see a lot more as the year progresses. Hope you get the call soon - fantastic watch. |

I have been eyeballing this watch.
I fold over the remaining strap by pulling over the last keeper over the folded over excess strap. This might help with the excess strap. Apologies for the iPhone pict but it convey the concept. ~ Sheldon
