Bulgari GMT bezel question?

My friend has recently aquired a bulgari GMT, the new one with the world map dial. He bought it from a member of another forum and there is no doubt of it's authenticity.

The thing is I had a rolex gmt and I remember that the bezel rotates bi directional and in 1 hour increments. This bulgari moves semi directional and in half hour increments. It makes a lot of sense since some time zones are plus or minus x.5 but why only semi directional? Anyone has one of these, is it the same with all bulgaris? Or was this particular model supposed to be a divers watch? :p

On another note, this is now by far my favorite bulgari! The bigger case is great, the dial is eye candy and the bracelet doesn't scratch away at your skin anymore.

This is from Bulgari's official website:

"The GMT function enables travellers to keep track of three different time zones by combining the use of hands, bicolour réhaut (red for the day and blue for the night) and a two-directional bezel marked with 24-hour divisions."

Now I'm a little worried.

Bulgari has a lot of GMT's. Maybe the one described online is only for one of them and not the new one's.

Yeah thanks! It's the only other watch my wife really likes for me. And I really like its design and craftsmanship. Very masculine, distinctive and well made. I got it off a trade, actually. Anyway, here's a pic. Will probably write a full review soon.

Thanks mate!

She really likes the Calibre de Cartier. Brand new design from Cartier with an in-house movement. I didn't think much of it until I tried it in Hongkong. Very nice watch! Nice style good size. Hope to find a nice 2nd hand one...
