Prices of popular models are defo dropping
i always keep an eye on the overpriced grey merchant watchfinder
two days ago, 126710 blro's were between £24k and £25k today they are between £22k and £23k no mention of a sale or a discount. they're simply quietly dropping the price https://www.watchfinder.co.uk/search?q=blro i think these will be £14k-£16k by the end of the year |

Look like the Rolex watch forum is now becoming a price up or down forum, mainly today because many think of Rolex watches to be little more than ££$$€€ objects and little more.

Sorry, what's the MSRP again?
I had no idea that being gouged for £10K+ was so desirable! Think I'll still give it a swerve though. |

GMTs have come down a decent amount, Daytona-C less so. I personally think they will keep going down more but there will not be a real crash. If there is a real crash though, there will be much more serious problems with unemployment and people losing there houses.
Hopefully inflation gets under control and we don’t fall into major recession…either way, eventually values on these watches will rise again, but that could be months or years from now. If the storm comes, hopefully you have the means to weather it without having to sell off some jewelry at a loss…because that jewelry will be more valuable than it is today on the other side. |

That likely means the TS offers were at least a couple thousand lower. I got mine for $9,700. It's a nice watch.

I've noticed the same in Canada.
Sub Dates, down about $3k. GMTs, $7k+. Pandas, a lot. |

The “Crash” is model dependent. Hot models will still command some premium.

I share your sentiments Peter. One week it’s “prices are up. To the moon!!”, then the next it’s “prices are crashing! Discounts for everyone!” |

An alternative view is that once there's no margin for flippers, enthusiasts can buy new from the AD at RRP with little to no wait time. Hence the excitement over price decreases in the reseller market.

Been this way since 2019. 3 topics dominate posts.
1. Market price topic - up, down, would you buy at $$,$$$$? should i sell at $$,$$$$? 2. Exclusivity topic - How hard it is to get a piece; How do i get one; demand, supply? 3. Incoming - Look at me and what i got. LOL |
