Dial preference for 18k WG 126719BLRO GMT -- Midnight Blue vs Meteorite dial

If money wasn't an object and you had the ability to choose between either of the two 126719BLRO to actually wear and enjoy (not as a safe queen or as an investment) then which will you choose?

I'll start off by saying that I believe midnight blue is overall a better choice as the color scheme works quite a bit better imo. The dial matches perfectly to the blue on the bezel, not to mention giving it a clearer and cleaner overall contrast to the hands/hour markers.

Dare I say, I feel meteorite dial is sort of excessive, flashy decoration on otherwise a very harmonious watch design.

Again, I'd like to emphasize that this question is purely for design aesthetics for wearability point of view, and not as an investment.

With that said, both are incredible. I don't own either one so I'd also like to hear from the owner's perspectives. Thanks for reading!

I actually think the most special wg Pepsi gmt is the original black dial. From those 2, I prefer the navy blue dial.

I am on the list for the Meteorite so I would have to say that one.

In todays market, I would get the meteorite dial>>>>>blue>>>black largely due to general desirability.

For your direct question, putting aside value I would go blue>>>black>>meteorite. Historically, those dials end up being more of a novelty and don’t command much in terms of resale imho.

Either way, I think all of the dials look fantastic and would happily wear any of them.

Meteorite… from 6’ away it looks like a white dial, but when you get up close or the sunlight hits it just right, it’s pure magic. The blue is cool too, but it doesn’t come close to the meteorite.

Meteorite. The Pepsi/meteorite is the most unique Rolex in regular production.

Like OP prefer the contrast on the WG GMT blue dial version of the meteorite, at least on pictures as have never seen neither in my local AD or in the wild (have seen the black dial version)

In my opinion, the fact that the black dial looks almost too similar to the steel Pepsi on oyster makes it less unique than the blue.

I do enjoy being stealthy but not to the point where I would want my white gold GMT to look almost indistinguishable from the SS version.

Blue dial sets it apart with just the right amount of subtlety where it looks unique without completely changing the design language of the modern day pepsi. Maybe my views would change if I were to try them on irl... Just my .02!

The Meteorite GMT is one of (if not) the best watches Rolex has put out in a long time. The large, uninterrupted meteorite dial dances in different lighting. It also looks like liquid in certain lighting. It truly is a special dial and watch.

Mic dropped…. Also my current grail so this is obviously my answer. Nothing against the blue dial it’s very sharp as well (and much more “stealth wealth”) but if given the choice I wouldn’t have to hesitate.

I love the BLRO but do not like the blue dial at all. Meteorite or black is the only way to go.

I would need to see a meteorite in the flesh to know for sure.

And...it doesn't look like that's gonna happen, so...I'm not much help here, sorry.

Exact same. The black lacquer dial provides the best contrast IMHO

Now if they produce a dark grey/black meteorite dial, I'm in.

Dial preference for 18k WG 126719BLRO GMT -- Midnight Blue vs Meteorite dial

The meteorite dial is beautiful but impossible to read in low light.
