I believe this is a fairly recent addition to the oyster case design. “Rolex” is laser-etched or stamped around the inside of the case.

Just trying to educate someone on the subtle differences of the case over the years.

Laser etched rehaut started appearing on certain models around 2005/2006.

Actually it was around 07-08 and started with M serials. I have had M’s with and without engraved rehaut.
