Blach Bay 58 Strange Timegrapher Readings

Hi there,

Recently bought a new Black Bay 58. When I got it on the timegrapher, I noticed strange outliers consistent showing up on the reading, underneath where they should be (pics attached)

These were all recorded with the watch in a dial up position, but the same outliers appear whichever position I have the watch in.

Is this a sign of a problem with the movement?

That’s generally the mic struggling to hear the sound.

1. Crown should be towards the other side. (Other forum members taught me this.

2. Increase the gain.

You haven't got a cold or sinus trouble have you? I notice my timegrapher throws up stray dots like that when I sniff loudly. Also, you should wrap some tape around that metal part that holds the watch, as it can scratch the case.

Do you have other mechanical watches, and if so, does it show a similar pattern of those dots? Or is this watch unique in that?

I don't know anything really about timegraphers but checking other watches could at least help isolate where the issue could be.

Those outliers dots are read noise that the time grapher could not filter out.
