As anyone else noticed a bit more AD interaction, my “names down “ for a few watches at a few ADs , ones text to see if I still wanted to remain on their list maybe to weed out the speculators who’ve slowed down buying, also another AD rang out of the blue offering me a pre owned model which I’ve my name down for , way over mrsp obviously. I’d previously heard nothing from either the past 18 months or so . Who knows just seemed unusual in the space of a week .

Yes, the numbers are starting to no longer add up for flipping. So ADs will be reduced to actually selling watches to people who want them to wear. And I believe there are a lot of of amateur flippers on waiting lists. Better times ahead, no doubt

Quite common with AD chains. My Torneau has a wide selection of pre-owned watches and my AD offered me the same in the beginning.

I think we could be seeing a slight improvement, I have been called on a watch I have been waiting for, for around 18 months, will have it this coming week. Don't know if it is post Covid return to production or whatever, just happy that I have it coming.

I doubt less people, whether flippers or not, are willing to buy a hot model (gmt/blro/sub/daytona, etc. you get the list) for MSRP. The margins are still there.

I don't doubt that less people are willing to buy non-hot models, that probably never should have traded at such a premium anyways.

I received a call from an AD about a watch I inquired about over a year ago. I passed as have already received the watch from another AD. I do believe things are slightly changing.

Hard to say but it appears things may be easing a bit.. Was in AD yesterday grabbing the wife a bday present or two and inquired about the next piece on my wishlist and was originally told a couple of months but when I said I was looking to celebrate a work achievement and was ready to buy that quickly turned into "something might turn up this weekend"... I'm not sure if this was just a way to get me paid up and out of the store but I do have a decent purchase history of time pieces and jewelry so we shall see.. Hopefully this doesn't turn out like the one guy waiting 9 days for his wife... hahaha.
