Is this Rolex fake?
I'm hunting for a DateJust 116200 and came across a few on eBay with the 72200 bracelet code not laser etched on the inside clasp. The first photo is from a watch listed on eBay without the 72200 code etched on the inside of the clasp. The second photo is of another 72200 bracelet with the code etched.
Also, is it weird that there is a 4 digit serial number (PJ01) etched above where the 72200 code should be on the first bracelet? On the second bracelet shown, there is a 3 digit serial number (OP1) etched. I’m concerned that the first bracelet is a fake. |

I suggest shopping from one of the great sellers on this forum and forget the eBay clown show

I'm no expert on these details, but the one thing I would advise is that if in doubt.....PASS! So many other DJ's to shop for. Go with a trusted source so that you won't have any regrets. You'll be able to wear it and feel good about your purchase! Save a few $$$ on an iffy source is not worth it imo. You'll keep wondering if you got taken or not.

Thanks everyone. I didn’t realize how shitty eBay’s reputation was. Seems like there’s more protection for the buyer, but the authentication process is still vague. Stoll & Co does open the casebacks to verify the movements, but we’ve all seen the superclones.
