Which DJ 41 Dial?

Looking for some advice on a second Rolex. I currently have a no-date submariner and looking to add a second piece. Open to suggestions but I generally want my next watch to be pretty different than the sub and as of now I’m interested in a DJ41 with a fluted bezel and oyster bracelet. Anyone have any recommendations on dial color? Love the green and blue but not sure they are versatile and timeless enough. Slate is very nice too but currently leaning towards silver. Although somewhat afraid its too conservative but a classic. For reference I’m 30.

Appreciate the help!

Blue will always be in. The sunburst black also looks dark gray in some instances. The slate is really nice, would pick that over the silver. Also would take DJ41 on jubilee, it is stunning and matches the fluted bezel. The fit is also a little better than the oyster.

Blue Baton is gorgeous but restricts what clothing colours you can wear it with, Black is a safe bet. If it were me, I would go with Slate Baton as you can wear it with virtually any clothing Color’s and the dial changes so much in different lights.

After years of Subs and GMT wear on oyster I recently picked up a DJ41 fluted jubilee silver dial. If you want a totally different wear from the Sub try it on the jubilee it’s a different experience

The Wimbledon dial is very nice although it has no lume. But you are young enough to see it in the dark without lume I think.

I picked this. It’s my only roman dial watch. I had a black stick dial before it and I currently have a blue dial stick as well. I find myself enjoying this one the most. I know it’s just a white dial Datejust… but the combination of white dial, white gold and the busyness of the roman numeral makes it hard to be bored of it. I think fluted and jubilee on this dial would have made it too dressy so I’m glad I have smooth on oyster

Yes, I would echo white Romans. It is very different from the Sub. Since you already have a Sub, you might consider the Jubilee band as it is most different from the Sub's Oyster band. The blue dial and silver dial are also good choices for DJ41. Guess it just depends what you like best.

These compliment each other very well. I wanted a light color dial to go with my black dial sub. Honestly, these are the only 2 watches I really need. My other watches are superfluous, but I’m definitely keeping them. That’s for sure.

IMO, the rhodium dial is the most versatile of all.

Blue or blue fluted motif is great IMO. I have hesitated for a long time and decided to go with the blue fluted motif dial (see picture). No regrets at all.

IMO, the wimbledon dial is great and the slate dial is the most versatile.

My vote. Blue is much darker not in direct sun so it can easily be worn with anything.

I have the Wimbledon, it’s a striking dial, but not as legible in low light; this blue with sticks is fabbo.

White Romans or White batons
Since you have a black watch a white one would add diversity.
Plus the white dial is the only one with a matching date wheel
