Dial swap question

For those that have swapped their dials during service, I had a question.
Let's say you has bought the Bluesy with the gold lettering, but 10 years from now you sent the watch in for a service and asked to get a new dial. Would they put in a dial again with the gold lettering or whatever Bluesy dial is the most current one?

Yes, but less with each day haha. I'm debating if when I opt to get a new dial, what the options are.

If they don't have originals you'll get a service dial. Precisely what that will comprise is anybody's guess.

Sorry, I'm a little confused: Wasn't the 11 series gold lettering for its entire run, while the 12 series has had white since introduction? Assuming that remains the case for the latter, wouldn't any 11 series receiving a new dial get gold lettering, while any 12 receiving same would get white? No reason to believe that Rolex would change the colors for service dials from the originals.

The old Gold dial is 40mm and the new white dial is 41mm. I would be hugely suprised if the 40mm service dials got white writing on them

You’ll get the same dial you currently have or a service dial which you don’t want.
They will never put a dial reserved for the 41mm 126xxx reference in a 40mm 116xxx reference

What's the hesitation about a service dial (FWIW, I thought that technically all dials applied at RSC were "service dials")? The only time I would think one would care is when there have been multiple dial variants for a particular reference and RSC only keeps one in stock. Even then, there are some that can be specified (for example, those that want to go between Mk 1 and Mk 2 configurations with the Explorer 39).

If you have a "11" series, which was gold lettering its entire run, then I see no reason that Rolex would produce anything different for replacement dials.

Ask to see the actual dial or photo of the dial before they install.

RSC obliged in my case.
