Sports car / GT-car / sports sedan thread, let's see em!!!
I love all kinds of sports cars... classic GT's like Jaguar XK, Merc R129, E31 BMW 8-series, sports sedans/wagons like Mercedes AMG 63 etc.
I drive a 1994 Porsche 993 6-speed with factory M030 suspension. My car is 100% factory original except for the bluetooth radio. I love newer Porsches and I've been driving many of them... 997, 991 and 992. Great cars but for me these classics are THE thing... the "sweet spot". They're very analog cars. Not as fast as the new ones but when you hit the 4500 rpm they sound like a chainsaw. You can't get the same experience from anything else, imho. That's why I chose an air cooled classic. Let's see yours.

Beautiful 911! Have always admired them but have yet to own one. Agree with you on there being a perfect sweet spot of analog - becoming almost impossible to find new so have to cherish what we have.

Standard issue A5 is sporty enough for me.

Turns out a BMW 550i GT V8 Twin Turbo in the city of Toronto doesn't really add much value, that is, if you figure going 30 kph max is "winding her out". I loved this car as I'm 6'4" and the space, power and comfort of this car was unmatched.
Sold it just over 6 months ago and bought an utter and complete old beeter Jeep as I don't even drive that much anymore. Last edited by Phrank; 18 July 2022 at 03:25 AM.. Reason: typo |

Thanks. I think so too. The new Rolexes are great and I respect them... much better watches than the 4/5 digits but I only wear the older ones.

I love old Porsches, also my aunt had a 69 stingray. I remember riding in it as a kid. It was a sparkle royal blue color with a t-top and side pipes.
My weekend toy (supercharged and modified for the track) that I literally have not driven since well before the Pandemic. It's actually in the shop now for oil change/brake flush and some other minor things. The mechanic called me yesterday says luckily no issues for not haven driven for the past 2+ years. That's a relief. But he said to DRIVE IT. Easier said than done with a newborn (she's now 16 months). |

Sort of a sports sedan. A bit big, but it’s the GTS, so the sporty model of a big sedan. I enjoy it anyways, feels sporty and I can fit the kids in it. V8 Ferrari engined 4 door so I guess it sort of counts.

1981 Datsun ZX Turbo
Don't know if this counts, I'll run around on the weekend with this. If you want to talk about, "box and papers", this would be the car version. I'm the second owner, neighbour owned it brand new from 1981, he was moving to a smaller place and had to sell, he treated it like Platinum (always in his garage, don't think it ever got wet lol), has original manual, receipts, log book of everything done to the car, there's a mechanic in the city that specialized in these, purrs like a kitten, gets lots of "thumbs up" in this one. Super fun to drive... |
