Pelagos Rubber Strap (original 42 mm)
Hi!
I am trying to decide whether purchasing the standard black Tudor Pelagos 42 mm and have a question regarding the length, feel and quality of the supplied rubber strap. I love the look of the rubber with the use of the integrated end links. I plan on using the watch as my daily beater watch in rotation with my Explorer II and Tudor GMT. I have the Explorer on the bracelet, the GMT on the fabric strap and plan to use the Pelagos on the rubber strap. For reference my wrist size is 7,75-8 inches (19,5 cm). Thanks in advance! |

You’ll be in the last 1 or 2 notches on the strap. It’s quite stiff, too. Feels very robust, but at the penalty of not being the most comfortable rubber strap in the world. I ended up just tossing mine into the sock drawer. If/ when I want to wear it on rubber, I opt for a rubber strap I got off B & R. More pliable, and a little longer. Eventually going to order a second and see if I can cut to fit the endlinks.
I wish that Tudor tang buckle was available by itself, though. I love that thing. |

I agree with Dustin.
I have a blue Pelagos and am currently wearing it on the rubber strap for summer. 1) it is pretty stiff 2) I am about 3 holes larger than most straps. An 8” wrist might be pushing it One thing I like with the strap is the shape of the Tudor logo for the tang buckle. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Extremely secure with end links if you are doing water type sports. Not the most comfortable but not that bad either. The strap keepers move up and off the strap and that drove me nuts.

Its really great on the rubber, and the integrated end link look is super nice. However, the length is going to be pushing it, my wrist is just a touch smaller than yours and I felt like I was between the last two holes on the strap. I wish the Tudor Rubber Strap was a bit longer. I gave up on the rubber and it lives on Natos now.

It’s a terrible quality strap. Feels more plasticky than rubber!

All the above make for a fairly accurate description the Pelagos rubber strap. Even post #6 isn't much of a stretch.
You will need the extension bit if you want to wear it over any wetsuit.

I found the Pelagos rubber strap as comfortable as any other rubber strap I've worn, and that is many. I just wish it had a deployant clasp instead of the buckle. The keepers tend to move on their own.
