The Beatles. Possibly due to their variety of music on each album and their evolution.
Groundbreaking and instrumental in the British Invasion.

Several faves on that graphic, but when music mattered most to me, I was a Clash man.

I quite liked Oasis, they were what the Beatles would sound like now if they were still going. Queen and The Jam would come close.

My choice was the Beatles because of their influence and their music but obviously tons of great songs from all the other guys.
The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith (obviously not British) and a few others are great examples that if you stick around long enough and play live, you become immortal.

Too many to mention , but my own musical exploration began with The Specials & the two tone scene back in 79 .But I was heavily influenced by my Parents choice of music ,which was pretty much all the popular British bands of the 60s early 70s .

The Beatles
I bought their record albums upon release, starting with Sgt. Pepper. They were pioneers and, like Bowie, they evolved.
Later, I did get into New Wave. Elvis Costello, The Smiths, Squeeze, Tears for Fears, English Beat, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Clash. |

I'm also a huge fan of Pink Floyd and having lived during the British Invasion of the Sixties and Seventies, I could have named any number of great British bands. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
