Do you mean those small bubbles of molten glass about half way through the crystal.

The Rolex LEC has made its mark, but I learned something about Omega crystals.

In the center is a tiny Ω visible via a loupe.

I read somewhere, that Omega have been marking their crystals thus: Ω, since the 60's or earlier.

Only on hesalite models. There’s a few exceptions, such as the trilogy models, that have the sapphire etched as well

My lack of photographic skills have been well documenter here, but here's my 16613 Sub with the S in the base indicating a service crystal, and the very hard to see Ω dead centre in the crystal of my 145.022 Speedmaster.
