Still cannot get perfect fit, inbetween microadjustments

Yachtmaster fits PERFECT, no matter what i do my DJ41 oyster is either too tight or too loose. I am starting to accept that it is just the shape of the watch. They dont make half/quarter links for DJ41 oyster sadly. I am inbetween microadjustments and need literally 1mm to make it fit right. I know there has been other threads of this, just seeing if anyone has recent advice. Driving me nuts

1 mm?, and yet you say you're in between micro adjustments. Would you prefer it to be bigger or smaller?
What i always find is to go the next size up and simply get used to it. It is a different watch after all and it will wear differently
Alternately you could go the next size down and wear the watch so much that the bracelet loosens up and gets a bit of stretch into it over time.

Perhaps you may enjoy a Jubilee better as well?

Youre right, have never had this issue with jubilee. YM that fits perfect is older...maybe it has stretch as you say. Either way thanks for advice!!

Okay one other option you have is this, size leaving easylink open. It's 5mm so effectively a half link. Leaving it open and then micro adjusting can get the small increment you need.

Of course this is no good if you use easylink for it's intended purpose.

If the Oyster bracelet fit is persistently irritating I would try a Jubilee.

I once had a similar problem with a Breitling. I reversed the clasp (the whole bracelet actually) and it worked a treat.

The difference between hot weather comfortable and cold weather comfortable is more then 1mm.

Are the YM and DJ41 clasps theoretically interchangeable? Could always try swapping to see if slightly different clasp lengths gets you to a perfect fit.

1mm?
One donut a day, for ten days, is the easiest solution to your problem.

I know 1mm doesn't sound like much, but if it doesn't fit comfortably, then it doesn't fit comfortably. What can you do?

Personally I'd go with the bigger size and just wear the watch a fraction further up your wrist.

Yeah, I've used this in the past as last resort. It might be worth giving it a try.

Does anyone know if a 114060 half link would fit. You could polish the center …

This used to annoy me too, but I've accepted that different models will fit differently, despite the links being sized the same.

Just try to get used to it!

Yeah I would think the three micro adjust is larger than a full link. So… seems like you’d get a fit between combo of the two. But understand some watches just don’t fit right.

Drink more water when tight and eat a bag of chips when loose. Problem solved.

Get the 1/2 link from the sub…if it works just polish the Center link and your golden!

I guess you’ll have to decide which you prefer, a little tighter or looser.

I have the same issue with my DJ41 and it’s on a jubilee. My 114060 is the best fitting watch I have. It’s the standard by which I measure all other watches.

I can never get my DJ41 to fit as good as my Submariner no matter how I adjust it. With that said, I never thought it was that big of a deal. I still wear the DJ41 all the the time. I’d never would have mentioned it on this forum if it wasn’t for this thread.

I don't know, but I would guess not. I had a similar experience recently with an OP41 where I tried the sub41 half link for just such a solution, but, alas, no dice. Bracelet width was a perfect match, but the center piece of the sub link would not fit into the OP space.

Now, whether that holds true to a DJ and the 6 digit sub is anybody's guess. But I have my suspicions.

Good luck, OP, and keep us posted.

I would get to that point as well with most modern Rolex. Happened with the submariner, the GMT, the 214270. I found for me if i move it out to what feels too loose vs too tight, one little micro, it’s perfect in a few days. The best fitting for me is the GMT. for some reason the BLRO fits perfectly and I’ve never used the ez link.

DD40 is the worst when it comes to getting a good fit. DD36 is second worst.

Crazy enough, this is probably the best advice as the necessary adjustments are truly minor.

Some watches just don't fit. It happens.

Also there’s a half link from the SD43 which I’ve used before with my SS sk Dweller. That could work as well.

1mm driving you nuts? In all honesty, this obsession about the 1mm is solely in your head and not on your wrist.

Is the blade of the clasp centered? Not the buckle but the blade against your skin?

Nah you can buy 1.25 links. I needed two to get the perfect fit and it was stupid expensive.

I’ve bought a MiLgauss 3x hoping it would work if I willed it too. I’m 0-3 obviously. That’s the only watch I leave the EZ open on
