Newer DateJust II...does it have AR coating like the new subs do?
Topic.
I know Rolex doesnt show AR coating on the new sub on their website but it does. Even my AD's have confirmed it (the AR coating is on the inside crystal). However, not sure if the datejusts (41) have the same? Does anyone know? cheers. |

I will offer a contrarian view. You may want to ask your AD to call Rolex and ask.
Per a local AD who called Rolex on my behalf … they are aware of the discussion forum viewpoint that the hologram indicates the degree of AR coating, but implied that was not a correct way of determining AR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any new dj41 owners can check their watch etching to confirm?

I had a DJ41 from March 2022 and it definitely did not appear to have any AR coating on either side of the crystal. Very reflective.

Have two DJ41 (one stainless with white dial) and one TT rose gold with sundust dial). I havent put them under a microscope however i did check my OP41 (green dial) which does have the hologram thing. OP41 is under DJ41 so i assume DJ41 does have AR.

You mean it has a hologram crown? That doesn’t mean it has AR coating. The OP41 may have AR (and I believe the new ones do), but that also does not mean the DJ41 does just because it’s more expensive.

The laser etch crown at the 6 o’clock position is an indicator of the type of AR coating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I never checked the crown markings on my 2022 DJ41, but it definitely did not appear to have any AR coating. I could be wrong however. |
