Help me decide!!!!
Hi all!
I've been a long time lurker and haven't posted as much as I should. Here goes... I've recently purchased a 126710BLNR (on oyster) that has worked its way into my weekly rotation. I've always wanted a submariner and after holding the new 41mm sub (exhibition model at my AD) I'm hooked. However this is where my question arises I really like the black Subs (both date and non date). I'm also considering the 126610LV just for something different and maybe to further differentiate it from my BLNR. I haven't been able to see one in person yet. I'm trying to decide which one would be a better fit to my current collection? The BLNR has been a grail of mine and I bought it as a way to celebrate finishing my masters recently. But I want something that will be more of a weekend watch and that I'm not as worried about knocking it around yet still having it be a Rolex. I also fully plan to dive with it as it will probably replace my seamaster 300 pro (I use this as a backup dive watch to a dive computer). Any help in deciding which way to go would be beneficial as I'm torn. I should also mention I will probably be purchasing from a trusted seller here on TRF. While price isn't a huge issue it seems the the LV models are about 3ish grand more. My current collection is a Pelagos (original 2 liner w/ black dial), speedy pro (3861), Panerai 1109, Seamaster 300 pro (Blue), and BLNR. I'll be purchasing something in the near future for a more dressy dress watch. |

i prefer the LV tbh, bit more special....see it in person if possible; the combination of the gloss green bezel + the crystal clear sapphire glass revealing the deep gloss black dial works wonderfully. i enjoy a bit of color in the watch collection.

I was all ready to tell you to get a sub date but I see you have a black Tudor. With that in mind I’d go for the LV; it’s a stunner in person and the green makes it a fun weekend watch and it’ll dive just as well as a black sub. If the premium isn’t a concern that’s the route I’d go!

LV for the win. Knocks the LN out the park. With the £500 premium. £5000 grey premium in the UK, not so sure.

The LV will add the color you are looking for. No bad choices though.

The LV! Maybe I’m a little burned out on black bezels, but when I was given the choice earlier this year between an LV and the black, I didn’t hesitate to choose the LV. Truly a stunning watch in person.

Consider the 126613LB; it's a great sub date.

Do you have a shop with pre owned near you? My firm rule is I won’t buy a watch without trying it on first. In my case the LV never did anything for me but as you can see I’m in the distinct minority so if you get a chance try it.
I have a BLNR (jubilee) and a Sub date-they don’t overlap at all… |

I liked having and wearing the LV, definitely would go that route considering your collection, but then again with the price difference, and you not being certain on the color, the no date is very nice.

I like the no date but I use the date so much it’s hard to not go that route. However I guess I could just remember what day it is.

I am a huge fan of the way the new SUb 41s fit and feel on the wrist. Near perfection.
I think a Sub 41 LV would pair amazigly with your BLNR. A Sub ND would too. I have both and I could go down to only havig those two. Well, maye not, but you get my point. |

LV. You may forget about your Pelagos if you don’t have a big emotional attachment to it. Finally getting my Sub LV has really changed how I feel about the watch. I really wanted a Sub, but man—that watch is something else.
The pop of color is just the right amount of noticeable. It’s also dynamic with light play in a good way.your BLNR should be able to cover any outfit that the LV can’t. Plus if you ever want the black, you can get a no-date Sub and not be as redundant. However, I think you may discover you’re pretty satisfied with just having the LV. It just ticks the right boxes for me. The size is wonderful, and the way the bracelet integrates with the case is perfect. Unless you travel a lot (where the GMT function and jumping hour hand), the Sub is the better daily, do anything, go anywhere watch. |

I have both. I wear the LN more but the LV is special. Since you have a BLNR I would chose the LV.
