There’s not a lot wrong with the BB Pro

I picked up the BB Pro a few months ago and I was struck immediately by the colours. What doesn’t come across that well in photos is how coordinated the colours are: charcoal dial, almost sand-brown lume and a really subtle and barely yellow GMT hand. You’ll think I’m mad, but the colour scheme and the Explorer-feel evoke something of North Africa to me - sand and desert. It works so well - and without any hint to me of fautina or anything contrived. Yes there’s a ton of 1655 in there, but the BB Pros is its own watch. Crucial to me with any watch is being in proportion - and Tudor have this right too - it feels compact, purposeful and the bezel feels really sharply etched and precise. T fit clasp feels crisp and smooth and finishes off this fine package.

I love it and look forward to seeing it in person. Sadly I already know the case is too thick for me.

I don’t like the faux everything … faded 24 hour hand, patina, etc. and, I don’t like it trying to look like a 1655.

I think the general forum and media consensus is that it's "flaw" if you will, is it's thickness, especially considering its 39mm footprint.

There are a few "homage haters" here and there and already one youtuber claiming a date wheel issue, but apart from that, this thing seems universally loved by everyone.

I'd go goo goo over a white dial version. Thanks for sharing your impressions OP and enjoy the watch!

I beg to differ, there is A LOT wrong with it...

It's too small for my wrist !!!

J/K, it's a fantastic watch.

I might reconsider the size if they ever release a white dial version.

So you want something similar, just larger and with a white dial.

There's a list for that!!!!

Indeed there is and I'm on it!

But unfortunately there's only 2 AD's within 100 miles of me...

The thickness looks bad on the paper, but once you have it on your hand I think it's fine. If I didn't already have an Explorer II I would be getting a BB Pro for sure.

The thickness is a non-issue if you actually own and wear it. I don’t see any faux patina, but it’s obviously heavily based on the 1655. I have a dozen Rolex’s and have worn my BBP more than any other watch since I got it. Total home run by Tudor.

I have not had any issues with the thickness and think it’s a great watch!

Thickness is personal for sure. This watch compared to Explorer II is substantially thicker.

Being I own one of the thickest watches in a DSSD, I really wanted to like the BB Pro but it somehow felt even less balanced. Lots to like about it, but I ended up getting the Tudor Ranger instead as my new daily.

There’s not a lot wrong with the BB Pro

I have a relatively normal wrist, maybe 7 inches, and it wears perfectly. I hate faux patina but this thing is different. I don’t mind the call back to the 1655, and it certainly has a lot of vintage in it. I was extremely concerned about the thickness, but after a few days i forgot about it. I think they did an unbelievable job, its a toss up for my favorite Tudor between the BB pro and the 58. They did a lot right IMO.

If the case thickness was 12.5 like the explorer 2, it would be essentially perfect to me. But i don’t mind the extra thickness, it takes the focus away from my belly.
