Box/papers - original purchase from Rolex NYC in 1968 🗽🇺🇸 Meters first 4 liner. Fine example of the first generation of matte dials stamped with the “Superlative chronometer officially certified” or “SCOC” text.

1.78xxxx mil serial ~ 1968

Dial is in excellent condition shows very light wear if not perfect. The dial has also aged naturally to a light pumpkin shade. The original hands have aged to the same shade. The insert shows light wear and has dark navy tones in the right light. The tritium pip on the insert has aged just a few shades lighter than the dial/hands.

The case was recently refinished by master Alessandro cianis team and shows only light signs of wear. The newer 93150 bracelet has a 1996 clasp code and is in excellent shape giving the watch a very solid feel.

Recently has been serviced, pressure tested and running strong.
