Seems contrary to the ideal of a tool watch. But if its yours, its yours. Do anything you like.

Hell, go to an AD and see what Rolex has to offer in the way of customizing your watch.

Yes they will, just put the original bezel back on.

Very cool I personally think it looks better the normal way with ceramic. In my opinion if you want a watch with Diamonds on it, buy it that way orginally from the dealer or buy a brand / model that will allow you to buy the original part and have it swapped. This way you avoid the company (Rolex) not servicing the watch / restoring it to spec at your expense

I'm trying not to think about that now that I've seen it, but it's your watch.

X2. Leave it as is. It would almost be pointless to have the GMT functions to begin with if you put a diamond bezel in place of the original one that has the numbers on it. But, it's your watch, I'm just giving in my .02 cents.

Hmmmm . . . interesting.

I think you should do whatever you like. Don't worry about the opinions of others. There is a real preference on this forum (and I agree) for keeping the watches original.

But you need to wear what makes you happy.

From my perspective, it is not an appealing item, one that I would never want to own or even look at; but should it be from yours, cash or charge?

I would never do that to a GMTII, but if you must... I had a lot of aftermarket diamonds added to my wifes presidential and I have to say I would not go to an AD as it will be 5x the price. However, if you are only going with the bezel, you might want to go authentic if you can afford it.

So when the 24-hour hand points at diamond you will know it is diamond o'clock in Diamondville (Universal Diamond Time)?

Good news on the Datejust. Eminem has one.

No diamond bezel please. It will just look like all those Rolexes you see on all those decrepit gamblers in Vegas. You know, those watches that Rolex made int the 80's that no one wants now. I was at an AD in CA last week and an old guy came in with a $28,000 gold and jewel encrusted Sub. Ugly as all get out. He wanted someone to buy it 'cause he now needed the money. No one wanted to pay him more than $12,000. AD said that was a good price and he should take it. No one wants those watched anymore.

Keep it simple and elegant. Then it holds the value.

I realize to each his own, but I don't believe diamonds belong on a mans watch.

If you wanna pimp your watch, then you've got to get some colors man. Purple or pink bezel will do the job.
