Isn't an Automatic Rolex climate friendly. It has no battery and has a Perpetual movement.

Maybe it was against Oyster Quartz movements, production on those ceased 35+ years ago I believe. They should have targeted Casio or Swatch.

This is what happens when you're 5 years in on a Daytona waitlist and then pop in for chat and get told they don't have your details listed.......

Jennifer Kowalski, 26. Wow, your entire life’s experience and you attack windows at a Rolex watch store with zero inventory?! Obviously came up short on your rocket science degree….Some of us have worked hard our entire lives to hope to buy a nice watch and miss numpty goes after a store window!? When I was 26 I was changing truck tires that outweighed the truck I hauled them with. Have fun with your new roommate….loser…

I'm guessing mining/transporting/smelting metal isn't carbon-neutral.

It's the Daily Hate stirring up rage in its readership yet again. The Just Stop Oil protestors ARE annoying, but at least they are attracting publicity for their important campaign. Looks to me like we are all on the brink of disaster/extinction.

I drive an old Porsche (25-30 mpg), but have solar & battery storage. Trying to reduce my meat consumption, with occasional vegan days. I have an order in for a Lotus Emira and I may cancel it out of guilt.

The people who do this sort of thing don't care about the issues they ostensibly support. In other words, it's not the planet they are concerned with, it's the free market.

I’m curious how earth friendly the paint was? I believe quite a bit of paint is petroleum based. Kind of ironic.

At this point I don’t think it really matters. I suspect we have already pushed it too far and there seem No signs of slowing it down just yet.

Haha, this made me laugh! Spot on though Gary - this misguided faux angst really gets my goat.

dont really feel that bad for Rolex. In the grand scheme of things, Rolex (or watches in general) are immaterial.

Yes, spray painting priceless works of art, and the window of a Rolex store will surely stop big oil companies from producing and save the planet.

Ironically, I support this group’s goals, the transition from burning fossil fuels to reusable energy sources, but these methods?! What a bunch of idiots.

The “science is clear” - what a joke. I’m sure they have read the new papers on the global electrical circuit and the solar forcing… totally sure the have…

I agree with you. There’s a lot of theories regarding climate change but regardless of the points of view, we should respect our planet and do what we can to take care of it.

I am all for protesters peacefully protesting, but I draw the line at property damage and/or any violence. That just makes you the bad guy and I no longer want to listen to anything you say.

Very well said and I agree. HOW does spray painting a Rolex store window forward their goal of decreasing oil production? (And transitioning to reusables). If it were the front window of an oil company it makes sense, but paintings in a museum and a watch boutique? What the hell are these people thinking ? Actually, never mind, they obviously are not.
