I ordered the 321, because I like/need the GMT function, and the PR is nice to. But there all looking very good.

Raising this thread from the dead... tried on the 320 today and it is AMAZING! It actually DOES have a power reserve... if you look through the caseback there is actually a small round window with a red dot in it. The red dot changes to white, kind of like a moon phase, as you wind it up.
I was set for a 321 but after seeing the 320 I may have to change my mind. The power reserve on the 321 might be too busy. It would be ok if it didn't say "POWER RESERVE" in letters under the dial. Who needs those words?

I'm in the minority as I prefer the 321. I like busy dials

I dont understand the GMT function without a GMT bezel of some sort.
The power reserve is pretty cool and I probably would not mind it on my 312. Either way, these are nice pieces coming out but I'm glad I got the 312.

Joey, I guess you set the main hand to local time and then adjust the gmt hand to the time of country you desire to know. Then each hand (local and gmt) move forward an hour every 60 mins as normal.
I guess maybe dual time would be a better designation than GMT? |

I got to try them on and I prefer the 321 over the 320. The power reserve dial balances out the second hand dial in my opinion.

312 plus PR does sound like a balanced dial...

Panerai doesn't need a bezel b/c the 4th hand isn't a 24hour indicator. It is just another 12hour indicator, so you don't need the bezel to track the second timezone. I agree with you that I don't see the point b/c with only two timezones, can't you just remember your other time zone is +/- 4 hours or something. I guess I just don't understand the 12hour gmts.

mfer, its not about remembering plus or minus its about convenience. If im in Korea, and its 10 am, I want to glance at my watch and read the local time and the time back home (5 am) in one glance.

what's the price difference between the 312 and 320 anyway for this "convenience" of a second 12hour GMT ? I know the value of the feature depends on each person but let us put value in $$$

There are other differences between them: the 320 has a power reserve indicator on the back of the movement, and has the 'zero seconds reset' function (the second hand resets to zero when the crown is pulled out to set the time)

Hummm, 312 or 320 then 321 for me in that order, but the loss of the word Marina on the 320 dial might point me towards the 312, though the gmt hand aren't that obtrusive IMHO and the power reserve indicator is a nice add on, is the $1500 difference a deal breaker? Could be.

On the grey market, the price difference will be more like $8-900
In that situation, I think the 320 would be a better choice.
