Icon7 Joining the 50th club, hopefully...

Just got a mail from my favorite boutique, letting me know that my "watch is in stock now"

Traveling there next week to pick up a 50th. Strangely excited, despite the imminent total collapse of the AP market

Will add pics to this thread if everything goes according to plan

Okay very pleased to hear that. You’ve been patiently going along the process so glad it’s worked out. Will be a dynamic duo with your wife’s CE too.

Can’t wait for pics, don’t skimp on photos for those of us that didn’t get one

Nothing better than this moment; Got the call, super ecxcited, a week of waiting, looking at photos and videos, knowing in week you will own one.

Congrats! Looking forward to see some nice pics!

Curious to know if you get some comments as I did, from people saying the like the "usual" rotor better. I turned 50 this year, that reason alone made me want one. But aside from that, who doesn't want something collectible from their favorite brand?

Congrats, that must be an amazing piece. Glad to hear the patience paid off!

I've been hoping to catch one in IRL, but haven't had the opportunity just yet.

Congrats! Played the 50th year well! Such admirable discipline.

All I have to show for the year is something non-ceramic. Doh!

Well I am one of those that doesn't like the 50th rotor.

Yes, I get the collecting part of it, but the design just doesn't do it for me, and also the white gold on steel for example doesn't pop as the regular ones do.

The funny thing with this watch obsession that we’ve all got is that the ‘build up’, the ‘waiting game’ and anticipation is all part of it. Sometimes a few days wait to pick up your watch makes the whole experience even more enjoyable bizarrely.

For me the build up is at least as good as that the actual acquisition. To be honest, once I have something and played with it, my attention wanders to the 'next' thing. A personality flaw I'm sure.
