Any 15500s still trickling through?

Odd that the 15510 was released about 10 months ago, and the 15500 is still showing on the AP website as part of the current collection. All other legacy pieces (like 15450) that were displaced by new 50th models are no longer listed in the current collection.

I’ve heard of a few allocations as late as several months ago, but curious what the latest is. Any more allocations? Will we see any in 2023? Kind of weird that there were folks getting the 15510 while others getting the 15500

Excellent question (as I am also curious about this). I prefer the 15500 to the 15510 so would be nice to hear those are still a possibility.

Here is a wild theory. Due to the generally odd reference number of 15510, could it be that is a one year production for the 50th? And 15500 remains as the standard production model since it was just released relatively recently?

No inside info, but that theory seems a tad too "wild". The 15500 would be a complete outlier with respect to the new dial layout (and other changes) seen on the 34, 37, 38, 41mm RO/ROC.

Was it released 10 months ago? I heard about some display models in march-april, but the reference didn't even appear in the AP website until june, so 5 months.

And yes, it's kind of weird that both references are still on their website.

I don't think so. They didn't only change the rotor with the 50th and the new dial, the whole watch is new, would be weird to go through such trouble just for a year, no?

The case is different, the bracelet is different, basically everything except the movement is different.

I think next year we'll just have 15510 with the normal rotor, and maybe they'll go back to the previous blue colour and lose the green as well.

most likely the 15510 with the 50 year anniversary rotor will be a 1 year production and they'll come out with a regular one after, whether 15510 or some other new reference

2 buddies got 15500 in the last few weeks. Blue (in NYC) and Black (in SG).

I think these are the last ones trickling out. Expect a new ref next year.

The 15510 only came during early summer, and I believe will continue as the reference just without the 50th rotor. They may change the reference again to signal non 50th but the new dial, case and bracelet will definitely continue rather than the old 15500 variation.
