Incoming AP

Finally, my first new AP and purchased from the NY Boutique. My Diver was less than a month old when I bought it from a trusted member on here but I didn't get the AP experience or purchase history. I turned down two watches prior to this one on the journey. One because I wanted to visit the boutique to be sure of my choice and I’m glad I went for the titanium vs the black dial SS model. I like the looks better but this is so much lighter than my diver! Also, the code I wanted was also in but I couldn’t purchase both at the same time (they were offered an hour apart from each other). The NY Boutique folks are awesome to deal with. Especially for someone who is in another country and can only visit the boutique once a year. Thanks you to them, I appreciated their efforts!

Congratulations on a great choice, Everett.

Which Code were you interested in that they offered at the same time?
It’s good to pace yourself and enjoy time with the ROO.

It was the white gold with the ceramic mid case. I got a text about it first and was going to end up taking it after thinking on it. I do like the codes, quite a bit actually. But, with no lume and the water resistance being what it is, I wanted my robustness first in case I wouldn’t be in a position to purchase more watches. Ultimately I got about her text right before I replied.

Congrats to you sir! I really liked that variation too. But I’m glad I went to the boutique. After handling the titanium I just could give up the weight reduction. Most Panerai’s I’ve had have been titanium as well and these are just so comfortable in titanium!

I actually vacation 2 or 3 times per year in the US. I would visit Clearwater when there and make appointment for service or a custom strap order etc. aThey are really good to deal with. I could drop the watch in Clearwater and pick it up in NY at the boutique. There I made some more connects and here we are. That said, I didn’t pick this one up. Because I’m insuring it and I wasn’t no issues, they shipped it with Ferrari Express and I paid my part to CBSA, : (, and it was delivered. Very quick and secure but pricey! But with the way things are I didn’t want my insurance company to give me a hard time with my receipt etc. they’ll look for any excuse if, heaven forbid, I have to submit a theft or robbery claim!

Wow, that ceramic center Code is the best…or my favorite at least. But I definitely hear what you are saying about preferring the ROO first. I’m glad you got that chance. Perhaps when you are ready again you can request that Code again if still of interest. I’m not sure if you got to see it in person, but it is very cool (although a big chunk of change), and would expectedly open up doors for other select pieces in the future. Then again, let’s see what other new pieces will be introduced soon. Again, sincere congratulations on your awesome ROO. Enjoy it in the best of health.

Congratulations that's a great looking watch! Did AP change the watch box? It looks matte in the picture rather than shiny. Is it still green?

Yes, I was surprised too. I like it better that the previous shiny one I have. Did anyone else with a 26420 get the matte box?

I saw several other codes. When I was there this one just came out so there were none to physically see yet. I like it a lot and the codes in general. I’m just more of a wr and lume guy or so I believe.
