Question for the DJ 41 Wimbledon dial owners
I love the look of this watch and considering a purchase but have not had the opportunity to experience it in person. In photos it looks either stunning or so dark it's almost unintelligible. I'd hate to ask my AD for one only to turn it down later. Any insights would be appreciated.

Haven’t owned one but spent a good couple hours with my close friend at a bar while he was wearing his and it never looked dark or illegible. It’s a stunning dial and I think you’ll be quite pleased!

I had it and ended up selling it. I liked it in the daylight but it’s hard to read in low light. Also not crazy about the polished center link. Looks way better on a jubilee.

Gents, thanks for your valuable feedback, also about the bracelet option. I too am definitely more interested in the jubilee. Being illegible in a dark environment seems a little subjective since bars are usually dark. Thanks again.

I have one - smooth bezel on oyster. Absolutely love it. It goes with a suit, and it goes casual. It's not hard to read, and the dial really pops in the sunlight.

I have one, never an issue reading the time unless pitch black.
Honestly lume only helps in the situation where you just us bright light and go dark… so doesn’t help on any of my watches 98% of my use case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I had a two tone on Oyster, traded it for a stick dial with lume. Personal preference but I did find it hard to read at night.

I have one on a Jubilee. Always legible and is a good contrast to the mostly black and white face watches out there.

I’ve had mine for years and never had an issue. The gorgeous dial far outweighs and small issue for me

I've got the Everose TT on jubilee; love it. Have not had an issue with absence of lume.
