First post - new sub

Hello everyone-
I am set to celebrate a milestone mark for my business next month and went to m local AD to ask to be put on a list for an explorer 2.

I have a relationship at the place and the SA asked me to wait a moment then went in the back. Came back with a new ceramic Kermit and said ‘I was hoping a had an explorer 2 back there but I just had this. It’s yours if you want it.’

I couldn’t resist. I always wanted a green sub and didn’t think to ask reading about ho hard things were to get. I figured an explorer 2 might be easier to obtain.

Long story long- I walked out with the sub and could t be more thrilled about it.

I have a Black 570 and love it but if I didn’t I’d definitely take the 12 series LV. They’re truly my favorite Sub iteration. So much so I have the 610 and 060. No LV for me though.

Congrats on getting yours. Very happy for you

I have almost EXACTLY the same story!
Went in to the local AD for TT Daytona, came out with a tedious 1-year wait!

Thanks for all the replies.

It’s funny, I went to my local Rolex boutique that I bought my first Rolex from. The sales person sold me my first watch 10 years ago. I stop in from time to time say hello, have her clean the watch, etc. About 3 weeks ago I went in asking to be put on a waitlist for the explorer 2 and she comes out saying they won’t sell to resellers, gives me some story about I need to buy 3 watches before I can buy a sport watch etc. I felt pretty offended being a customer of the store.

That’s when I went to my other AD- they sell many different brands and jewelry etc. I bought my wife a watch from them and I bought myself a Tudor from them. The sales guy there is awesome. So when I asked for the explorer 2 and he brought out and offered the Sub I was floored. What a difference in experience from the boutique to another AD.

Kind of shocking, but tracks with other reports here. Some ADs terrible, others wonderful.
