Gold pinky ring for a man?

Hi All, I'm just toying with the idea of getting a gold ring for nights out. Perhaps an 18K gold coin ring. It would kind of be for fun on some nights out. What are your thoughts?

I like the idea of a gold coin ring, been looking at these two, and might pull the trigger, although wearing less yellow gold lately.

Randy, that's the style I'm looking at also. Might be too big for my pinky though. May need to wear it on a different finger. I like the looks of those gold coin rings. I wouldn't be wearing it to work or anything, but on some occasions I think it would work.

I know the $5.00 US gold coin ring is too big for a pinky, but not sure about the $2.50 I think they have a return policy, so who's pulling the trigger first? LOl!!

My opinion is, wear what you want and like.

My only thinking on your "fun for nights out" is that I could never wear a ring once in a while.

I wear 2, one each ring finger. When I was having one of them repaired and gone for a couple of weeks, my fingers kept searching for it, and when I finally got it back on, it felt weird for a few days having one on there. There's also the safety factor of how you wear a ring, conscious not to snag it on things and rip your finger off, so you tend to be conscious of it and careful when you wear them all the time.

So for me it's wear it all the time, or not at all.

YMMV.

A pinky ring...um, no.

But - of course - you do you.

Unless it’s an engineer ring, I’m in the not so much camp

Definitely yes, but only if you start drinking tea and keep your pinky finger erect while bringing cup to mouth.

Absolutely. The modern world can’t handle or appreciate the class of a man wearing a pinky ring.

It took me a week to get used to wearing my plain gold wedding band without being super aware / distracted by the feeling of it on my finger. I also have a masonic ring that I wear to meetings and events but I'm so aware and distracted by the feel of it I cannot sleep while wearing it and always end up taking it off.
I wish that wasn't the case. I give credit to those men who can pull off a small amount of flair, but it's not me.

I cannot think of pinky rings without remembering Joe Pesci on SNL:

For instance, go out to a nice steak dinner with friends and I flash the 18K gold coin ring. Then it sparks a good conversation.

I've had a signet ring for almost 30 years - a graduation gift from the family. I almost never wear it, years pass by without using it a single time.

If you like it - why not?

Yep, I don’t wear any rings. Only a couple occasions a year I wear a pinky ring that a very influential man in my life wore. Beyond that it’s nothing on the fingers.
