Music City Grand Prix? Aug 4-6, 2023.

Anyone attend the Indy Car Race in Nashville last 2 years?

Thinking about going this year with my kids. wanted to see your experience overall and recommendations.

Looking at General Admission or cheaper reserved Grand Stand seating.

I went year before last and we just had general admission and it was fine. I’m not sure if I really have any recommendations. I went with my 3 kids as well. We had a good time. Met Romain Grosjean which was cool.

I guess only real recommendation is parking. I’m not sure if we got luck or if it just happened to be the best way to do it. Got there a little early and parked at the underground garage at 5th and Broadway (you will have to walk a bit further). Then after it’s all said and done there is a food hall thing on the 2nd floor. Just grabbed some food and waited a bit and drove straight home no issues.

Also probably worth hanging out for the super truck series if the kids aren’t tired. My kids loved that portion.

I haven’t attended the race in Nashville, but I’ve been to the Detroit Grand Prix on Belle Isle many times. I’d highly recommend pit and paddock passes. It’s a great opportunity for the kids to see the drivers and cars up close. Walter Payton, who owned a racing team, invited us under his tent during a rain shower and spent 25 minutes chatting with us.
