Far too 'look at me' for me, but I don't sail and I don't understand the features this watch offers.

I get it, but for anyone who wants a big and gold Rolex, their selection is limited to the YM2 mostly.

Don't worry? At $40k+, I kind of have to nail it right...

I also have a YG blusey, 40mm sub-c.

Yellow gold Skydweller is a "big and gold Rolex."

I personally like this reference, and think that the count-down function is both unique and useful for a variety of day-to-day applications.

My only critique would be the bezel - putting the name of the reference and then duplicating the minute marks that are already in the dial seems pointless. I get that they wanted to put a ceramic bezel, instead of say a fluted one, but it feels like they were reaching for what marks to put on it.....

I just think it's hard to glance quickly and figure out the time.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a wrist watch?

I really like the blue, but the watch is a bit ostentatious for my taste. Sorry!

No, I get it and am on the fence. It is a love/hate thing.

There is no rolex that is more polarizing. Everyone has an opinion on this one.

It's a great looking watch but I don't race regattas and I just find it useless for me.
It's also the rare example where the SS model is much nicer looking than the WG counterpart.
Personally id have to have a WG GMT II Meteorite a YG Sub and at least 3 Day Dates (which is not gonna happen) before Id buy this in YG but that's just me.
I still always enjoy seeing one in the wild.

I don't get it. You'd have to have those first why?

I have a YG, blue sub.

Well, it certainly won't be mistaken for any other Rolex.

I think the complication is fascinating but aesthetically it doesn't rock my boat.

For the money I'd be looking at a skydweller

Is that good or bad? Most people don't know it is one because it looks so unconventional to a typical Rolex.

Do you have use for the functionality of the watch? A lot going on there.

I feel the fact you're on the fence about it says its a "no"

$40k is a lot if you're not sure. And you have an awesome YG watch with a blue bezel already
